A practical plan for filming the August 12 eclipse without damaging your drone camera or missing the two-minute window.
Indeed and I sadly can't capture it, since 1. I'm stuck in Buford not gonna be able to see it and 2
I do need to purchase solar filters for my drone when I get around to capturing Eclipses.
I learned about the eclipse about a day ago.
Same I was sad when I saw I wouldn't catch it either.
I didn't even realize drones could get damaged doing certain filming. Thanks for sharing!
When you think about it yeah, just like they tell you not to look into a solar eclipse without the filter same rule applies. Just the drone eye is digital vs biological.
Cool, never thought about this. Bet you could get some amazing shots.
I liked the idea of filming what the eclipse does to the ground instead of just aiming at the Sun. That could make for some amazing footage.
Cool wish I could see thus one
